Capital Hill Water Infiltration Envelope Project
Our team was initially called to investigate signs of water damage within a residential unit in the Capital Hill area. Upon inspection, we identified that improper flashing details had allowed water to infiltrate the building envelope, ultimately compromising the structural integrity of the affected areas.
We were subsequently retained as the design-build contractor to lead the remediation process. This included structural shoring of the impacted units, selective demolition to expose damaged areas, and the completion of all necessary structural repairs. Once the structure was stabilized and restored, we rebuilt the envelope to pre-loss condition, incorporating proper detailing to prevent future water ingress and ensure long-term durability.
Scope Highlights:
• Site investigation and envelope assessment
• Identification of water ingress due to flashing failure
• Structural shoring and remediation
• Full structural repairs
Envelope reconstruction with proper detailing and waterproofing
